What made you choose Charlottesville? Michael grew up here, and I went to undergrad here. As they say, Charlottesville is the hook that keeps you in its grip, and so though we knew we wanted a home with property on which our family could grow, we also ­knew our deal breaker was that we couldn’t leave the greater Charlottesville area.

Where were you living prior to Charlottesville, and how did you begin your house hunting process? Lindsay and I were actually renting in Charlottesville before we made our first home purchase. We had a really cool condo in Fifeville by the Amtrak station. Prior to that we were both in school at JMU. Beginning the house-hunting process was pretty one-sided.
