Sarah & Nate Gillispie
Prior to Charlottesville, we were living in Virginia Beach. We decided to move to Charlottesville because of it’s convenient location to both of our families in Northern Virginia and Lynchburg. We started our house hunting process by researching different communities in Charlottesville online and making short weekend trips to see different parts of the city.
We have always loved Charlottesville, but we were really drawn to the city because of the proximity to our families. We knew it would be a great place to raise a family one day and we love that there is always something to do here between hiking to visiting wineries, breweries, the city market, etc.
We had actually driven through Redfields when we were looking at neighborhoods during one of our weekend trips and liked the fact that it was a more mature neighborhood and the homes had backyards. There are also miles of hiking trails behind the neighborhood and it takes us only a few minutes to get downtown.
My husband and I were first time home buyers, so I think the whole process was a both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. We definitely had our ups and downs, but It was all completely worth it!
I think the best part of our real estate process (other than ending up with the cutest home!) was that Errin and Josh were such good communicators and there to answer all of our questions. They made what could be a super stressful process easy and exciting. They were there every step of the way.
