This weekend, one of Charlottesville’s favorite local shopping events is coming to John Paul Jones Arena! The 19th annual Martha’s Market is an annual shopping event, with proceeds benefiting breast health programs and women’s healthcare at Martha Jefferson Hospital. This is a WONDERFUL pre-holiday shopping event and there are plenty of handmade, novelty, and custom goodies to buy, and it all supports a great cause!
This is a fun social and shopping event, that is put on by the Women’s Committee of Martha Jefferson Hospital each year.

- Thursday, October 11, 2012 ~ Preview Party, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM (Private)
- Friday, October 12, 2012 ~ 9:30 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday, October 13, 2012 ~ 10 AM – 6 PM
- Sunday, October 14, 2012 ~ 10 AM – 4 PM

Since its inception in 1994, The Women’s Committee, a nationally-recognized volunteer organization of Martha Jefferson Hospital, has presented a unique fundraising boutique show called “Martha’s Market” in Charlottesville, Virginia. Proceeds from the Market provide primary funding for breast cancer services, including community breast health outreach and support services. In 2011, our Market raised more than $250,000 for Martha Jefferson Hospital.
Martha’s Market brings together approximately 65 premier vendors under one roof, offering shoppers an incredible and varied selection of clothing, jewelry, toys, gifts, gourmet foods, home furnishings and more. We are extremely fortunate to host our Market in a fabulous venue that boasts many conveniences for our vendors and shoppers alike.
Martha’s Market kicks off with our Preview Party on Thursday night at 6:30 pm. Vendors are expected to have their booths set up by 4:00 pm on the 11th, ready for a brisk selling and social event that typically attracts more than 700 guests.
