Where were you living prior to Charlottesville, and how did you begin your house hunting process?
We were living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Tony asked a realtor he had in Dayton, Ohio for the name of someone in Charlottesville that could help us find a house. She happened to give us Sasha’s name. We came to VA on a trip to look before we moved. Sasha had sent us a list of places she thought we may like and we also did some of our own searching. The first time out we were really trying to get a feel for the neighborhoods and Charlottesville.
What made you choose Charlottesville?
The Career brought us to Charlottesville. The company was moving people and we happened to be those people.
How did you discover the neighborhood (where you eventually ended up buying), and what do you love about it?
We spent time with Sasha driving around the neighborhoods and also looking at homes for sale in those areas. I think the house sold us on the neighborhood, but the neighborhood is great! It is an older neighborhood with old established big trees. We have neighbors that have lived in their homes for decades and lots of people walking their dogs and kids playing outside. The BEST part though is its location. We can ride our bikes downtown. We have a theater across the street. It is an 8 minute drive to the airport, a five minute drive to the UVA Campus, and about 8 minutes downtown. We can ride bikes to town in about 30 minutes. It is so nice to be close. Tony didn’t want to drive more than 20 minutes to get to work and it only takes about 18! We love our location.
What was your experience like working with the Sasha Farmer Team?
We had a great experience. Things were done in a timely manner and everything seemed seamless and without problems.
What was your journey like buying/selling your home?
Our journey was fast! We decided to buy the house early January and were moved in by mid-February! We didn’t have a lot of bumps in the buying process. It was smooth and easy.
What was the most stressful part of the real estate process?
Nothing was too stressful. The worst part was trying to find a house within our budget that wasn’t in terrible shape.
What was the best part of your real estate process?
Everyone making it easy.
