Mary Anna Wu is a licensed Sales Assistant for residential clients at Story House Real Estate, proudly serving Charlottesville and the surrounding counties. Long before joining the team, Mary Anna was a Story House client herself—purchasing her first home in 2018 with the help of Josh White (Associate Broker/REALTOR®). Her experience was so positive that when the opportunity arose to join the team, she jumped at the chance to work alongside Josh as his assistant.
Mary Anna is passionate about delivering the same kindness, care, and professionalism she received during her own home-buying journey.
She brings a rich background in people-focused roles, having spent the early part of her career as a civilian in local law enforcement, and many years as a Human Resources Manager. She is a certified HR professional through the Society of Human Resource Management, a Spanish speaker, and a proud graduate of both the University of Virginia and Piedmont Virginia Community College.
Born and raised in the area, Mary Anna considers it a privilege to work with Story House’s fun, unique clients in the community where she’s built her life.
Mary Anna lives with her husband Randy in Zion Crossroads with their exceptionally friendly and excessively needy Yellow Labrador, “Charles Barkley.” She visits a new country internationally each year and tries as many diverse foods as she can. Wherever she finds herself, she is passionate about serving the people around her. Mary Anna has volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club of Central Virginia, the Albemarle Housing Improvement Program (AHIP), The Point Church’s Mobile Food Pantry, World Help, and Freedom 4/24.

- Mary Anna is fluent in Spanish and loves watching international shows and movies on Netflix to keep her skills sharp (and stay entertained!).
- She and her Yellow Labrador Retriever, Charles Barkley, are inseparable—he’s exceptionally friendly, a little needy, and completely adored.
- Every year, Mary Anna and her husband Randy make it a goal to visit a new country, combining their love for travel, culture, and trying every kind of food imaginable.
