About Me

Steve has been a resident of Charlottesville since 2002. Having taught for a few years
at a few of our local schools, Steve began a PhD program in Political Philosophy at UVA
in 2005. He received his Masters’s degree in 2007 and having completed his
comprehensive exams for the PHD, Steve left the program in 2009 to work full-time in
his wife’s local store, The Happy Cook. In 2016, looking for another challenge, and a
place for free babysitting for their three young kids (Amos, Elsie, and Isaac), he
purchased Bounce, Play-n-Create and for six years provided family fun activities and
birthday parties for Charlottesville and Central Virginia. In 2022, Steve sold Bounce and
moved into the world of commercial real estate, selling small businesses for many of the
local entrepreneurs he had come to forge strong relationships with over his 20 years in
business here in Charlottesville. He’s excited to embark on a full-time real
estate career as our in-house commercial broker and
residential sales partner at Story House Real Estate.

Little Known Facts About Steve:

• He has an identical twin brother who lives in the Richmond area.
• He has a miniature schnauzer, named Bennet, who is named after Coach Tony Bennett..
• Steve travels extensively with his wife Monique, claiming that currently, his favorite
  destination is Denmark.
• He loves writing, reading and discussing anything with friends, family and strangers on
  the street.
